The low down on how to rid excess estrogen!
THE REALITY OF HORMONES….
Estrogen usually get touted as “the” female hormone but in fact P-r-o-g-e-s-t-e-r-o-n-e is THE important female sex hormone.
While estrogen promotes growth in the body and is super important in the first half of our cycle to help grow healthy follicles- many women have high estrogen ALL cycle!
When this happens, our estrogen is out of balance with progesterone and your hormones are officially imbalanced. AKA you have estrogen dominance!
We get estrogen dominance from SO MANY sources and areas of dysfunction within the body!

-Stress/ Cortisol
-Iron Overload
-Nutrient Deficiencies
-Digestive Dysfunction

IT doesn't help that doctors “ranges” for estrogen are HUGE so most women are told their hormone levels are “normal” even though they have TONS of symptoms.
Optimal estrogen levels are 27-45pg/mg even though the “normal” range is 27-156pg/mg.
But even if your levels come back in that range you can still be estrogen dominant because excess estrogen that isn't removed from the body gets stored into our tissues! So it won't necessary show up on a blood test.
So how they heck will you know if you have estrogen dominance?

-not ovulating
-short luteal phase
-brain fog

-spotting before periods
-weight gain
